I was trying to open my eyes deliberately until I knew that they were already open because generally I saw such an angel figure in my dreams only.
Her hair not knowing any boundaries, left free and open to be following the direction of wind, as if the curls in her hair gave direction to the wind. She was dressed in a one-piece white dress up to her knees… baring her glowing face, her long delicate arms and her milky white legs.
Her arms let loose unintentionally in such a position so as to stop the wind from flowing her dress away from her knees. Her bare feet touched the earth as if obliging it and relieving it of its own burden.
She looked so beautiful, so untouched, and so pure, so unreal… that may be my eyes were the first one to touch them, to feel… them (in a way that one wants to feel the soft leaves of a flower while standing on the thorns).
I thought that I have betrayed the most beautiful creation of God till date and for the years to come, as if I had no right to look at her and would be cursed for it.
I tried to not look at her though I so much wanted to look at her happily ever after. But that twisted strand of hair falling over her face unattended held my sight sticking it to the background that some would tell was her face.
For the first time I noticed her flawless, innocent eyes looking towards me, her hand… right one, rising to wave at me. Her cheerfulness created illusion that she knew me for years. But, that monotonous feeling was broken by the horn, beeping behind me waiting to be parked as I gave way. Some not so divine human-like faces peeping from a car, waving back to her, may be to celebrate Diwali or her birth. I am so jealous… they are so lucky. May be I missed her too more often than natural.
Anyways this Diwali told me exactly how Angels would and should look like.
I m sure u also had some great experiences this Diwali and will share it with all.
